Jimmy Kimmel Mocks Trump for Posing in a Garbage Truck to Troll Joe Biden: ‘Shouldn’t They Put Trump in the Back? The Garbage Goes in the Back’
by Zack Sharf · VarietyJimmy Kimmel was not impressed with Donald Trump‘s mockery of Joe Biden this week. After the U.S. president found himself in a controversy for allegedly calling Trump supporters “garbage,” Trump seized on the opportunity to troll Biden by taking photos in a MAGA-branded garbage truck. Kimmel said it would’ve been more fitting had Trump gotten in the back of the truck with the actual garbage.
“He went out and rented a garbage truck and put his name on the side,” Kimmel said about Trump’s garbage truck stunt. “Shouldn’t they have put him in the back of that? The garbage goes in the back of the truck.”
Noting Trump’s decision to sport an orange vest, Kimmel remarked, “It really brings out the orange in his face, I have to say.”

Kimmel found it quite ludicrous that conservatives went up in arms over Biden’s garbage comment when Trump himself frequently refers to “America as a garbage can multiple times a day.” Biden later attempted to clarify his remark by saying he was referring specifically to Tony Hinchcliffe, the pro-Trump comedian who ignited outrage after calling Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage” while attending Trump’s New York City rally at Madison Square Garden.
“This garbage thing is a serious problem for [Trump],” Kimmel said during his monologue. “He’s facing a firestorm of anger from the Latino population. Bad Bunny, J-Lo, Ricky Martin have all come out in support of Kamala Harris this week. But instead of apologizing, which is not something he does, he sat down to talk about it with noted racial tolerance advocate Sean Hannity.”
Kimmel then played a clip from Trump’s interview with Hannity in which Trump claimed, “I’ve done more for Puerto Rico than any president I think that’s ever been president … Every time I go outside, I see somebody from Puerto Rico, they give me a hug and a kiss.”
“Yes, that definitely happens every time he goes outside,” Kimmel jokingly fired back.
