The winner of the National Lottery's 'Set for Life' ticket has been urged to come forward after bagging the £3.6million prize.

One lucky ticket holder's life is set to change forever after they managed to bag the £10,000-a-month for 30 years prize from the Thursday 10, October draw. But the National Lottery can only reveal that while there is a winning ticket, no one has yet claimed the prize after it was bought online.

Now an urgent plea has been issued to find the lucky ticket holder who might be unaware they have managed to win a lifechanging amount of money. Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said, “It’s only just under a week since the Set For Life draw in question saw one lucky ticket-holder scoop the top prize which, when claimed, will see them pocket an incredible £10,000 every month for the next 30 years.

“We are urging all players to log into their National Lottery account to check whether they are the lucky ticket-holder who is now truly ‘set for life’." Players can check whether they have a winning ticket online by downloading the National Lottery app or at national-lottery.co.uk.

Players can also buy and check tickets in retail. Playing online via the app or website means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize.

You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you're a winner. The lucky winner is now urged to log into their National Lottery account and to then call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050 in order to make a claim.

When the ticket holder has called the National Lottery operator Allwyn and the claim has been validated a paid, the ticket holder will then decide whether or not to go public. There is no information about whether the winner is an individual or a group unless the ticket holder decides to go public.

Winning players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize. Anyone who has any questions about their ticket or believe they have won any prizes from any of the National Lottery draws is asked to call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050 or email help@national-lottery.co.uk.

Making sure you check whether you have a winning ticket is vital unless you are happy with missing out on a prize. Earlier this month, the National Lottery confirmed a winning UK Millionaire Maker ticket was bought in Rhondda Cynon Taf in Wales on April 16.

But the lucky winner did not come forward before the 180-day deadline expired. Despite calls for players to recheck their tickets for the winning code, no one claimed the life-changing sum.
