Liam Payne was reportedly 'arguing with a woman about money' in the final moments before his death and offered to give her money.

The 31-year-old One Direction singer fell to his death from the third-floor balcony into the courtyard of the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires on Wednesday evening. Shortly before his death, he was on social media announcing his plans for the day in posts shared on Snapchat.

Hotel Casa Sur's head of reception had made two 911 calls, asking for 'someone to come' after disclosing that a guest was 'off his head on drugs and is destroying everything in his room'. According to LA NACIÓN, Liam went down to the hotel lobby, 'visibly out of his mind.' The staff who interacted with him asked him to return to his hotel room, but minutes later, the impact of his body was heard when he fell from the third floor.

Guests of the hotel have been sharing stories about their interactions with Liam before his tragic death. One guest, called Michael Fleischmann, claimed Liam seemed a 'little wild' while arguing with a mystery woman about his finances just before he fell from the balcony.

The US-based guest claimed he repeated to the woman: "I’ll give you $20,000 (£15,311) dollars just because I can. I have $55 million and I like to help people." He added that the woman spoke in Spanish with the hotel manager translating the conversation to Liam at around 2pm local time.

Speaking to the Buenos Aires Herald, Fleischmann only realised that the man 'with an English accent who seemed to be causing a disturbance' in the hotel lobby was the One Direction singer after news broke of his death. Fleischmann said that the singer seemed 'very upset, agitated, a little wild, walking around and pacing' while also being 'very energised.'

A different hotel guest, named Rebecca (not her real name), claimed to MailOnline that he told her "I'm so f***ed up" during a 30-minute conversation with him. Speaking in an interview, Rebecca said Liam's "bizarre" final moments have left her shaken. She revealed how he 'wanted to get recognised' while in the lobby.

He left but later returned to the lobby with a laptop in hand and began reading emails in public view. Rebecca recalled seeing the singer opening an email that "obviously upset him". "Suddenly he took the computer, shouted 'f**k this s**t mate!' and started bashing the computer on the ground," she added.

According to Rebecca, staff and guests inside the high-end hotel were really shocked so she went over to check if the distressed star was ok. "But he just kind of grunted," Rebecca said Liam's response to her concern was. "Then he said 'I used to be in a boyband. That's why I'm so f**ked up'."
