Ex-British army chief General Sir Mike Jackson - known as 'Prince of Darkness' - dies aged 80

Sir Mike Jackson, who led the Army during the war in Iraq and also served in senior command posts in Kosovo, has died of cancer, it has been confirmed

Sir Mike Jackson, former chief of the General Staff, has died of cancer, it has been confirmed.

The Parachute Regimental Association said in a tribute: “We are very sorry to hear of the loss of Gen Sir Mike Jackson.”
