Katie Price will lay bare her IVF struggles in a new Channel 4 documentary as she opens up about her longing to be a mum again.

The former glamour model, 46 - who has five children already - let cameras follow her bid to have a baby with ex Carl Woods, 35. Despite the pair splitting up in 2023, we can reveal they’ve given Channel 4 the go-ahead to broadcast the deeply personal footage for the two-part show.

To be aired next year, the fly on the wall documentary will feature all Katie’s children - but TV insiders say current boyfriend JJ Chalmers won’t feature. A telly source said: “We’ll see Katie go on a tough - and unsuccessful - journey to become a mum again. She faces lots of obstacles, ups and downs along the way. The programme will shine a light on the struggles women face while trying for a baby in their 40s.”

Over summer Katie revealed how she’d experience three failed in the past year. “My eggs are too old, I’ll get a donor egg,” she said in one interview.

Katie has her eldest, Harvey, 22, with former footballer Dwight York, son Junior, 19, daughter Princess, 17, with her first husband Peter Andre, son Jett, 10, and daughter Bunny, nine, with ex-husband Kieran Hayler.

Speaking to Love Island’s Olivia Attwood on her podcast, Katie vowed not to give up on her baby dream despite her unsuccessful attempts at IVF. She said: “People have got to realise it doesn’t matter if I act young or if I look younger, your body is still 46, and your eggs get less and they get older and it’s harder.”

Olivia then asked: “But you definitely want another one?” Katie revealed: “Or two. It’s going to happen one way or the other. I don’t know how or well and I will, I’ll try.”

In her latest book, Katie said she had found a clinic with “donor eggs and sperm ready” that was awaiting her arrival so she could “have them implanted”. She explained that she had selected sperm from a man “who is mixed race from America” and has also opted to have a donor egg despite potentially having one viable egg.

The star is now in a relationship with JJ Slater, who starred on Married At First Sight. The pair started dating early this year and recently enjoyed a holiday in Cyprus. He will not appear in her upcoming documentary, which will only feature footage from 2023, say insiders.

Katie and ex fiance Carl Woods split at the end of last year amid cheating claims. A source close to Carl said: “He’s not looking forward to reliving that chapter of his life.”
