Lindt has trimmed the price of its giant Lindor Milk Chocolate Maxi Ball by 20 per cent. Brimming with 40 indulgent truffles, this huge chocolate resembles the iconic Lindt Lindor Truffle ball, but on a much grander scale, filled with chocolatey delights.

Snap it up on Amazon for £12, down from the usual £14.99, or directly from the Lindt website at the same bargain rate. It's even more of a steal compared to Tesco's ordinary 500g pack costing £12.50 with a Clubcard.

Crafting exquisite chocolate since 1845, Lindt's Master Chocolatiers have packed this novelty item with 40 signature truffles, making it not only an ideal gift but also a striking festive display piece. The mega-sized treat has sent Amazon customers into a frenzy, boasting a rating of 4.7 stars from 3,073 reviews.

A thrilled purchaser shared: "Great chocolates and these were a great price too. Less than the usual price of £15 and usually only at supermarkets at Christmas. The inside red tin had separated but it was easy enough to undo one end and lock it together again and twist up the end. I also added something extra into the tin ball before I put it back together. A nice gift.", reports MyLondon.

Another shopper gushed: "How can you go wrong with a big ball filled with Lindor chocolates? I've purchased this a couple of times as gifts, and needless to say, the recipient has always been happy. There really isn't much to say about this product. If you've ever had or seen a Lindor ball before, the only way to describe this would be to say it's just a very big version of that! Inside, you'll find around 40 of these Lindor chocolates, unfortunately not as big as the wrapper. The actual packaging is a round ball that can open out into two halves, presumably one of the halves is to be used as a sharing bowl, but don't get your hopes up, as I only got 1 chocolate! This is the perfect gift for anyone who loves Lindt chocolate, including yourself of course."

A third chimed in: "Purchased a few as Christmas gifts and they went down really well! A bit different to just giving a box and it worked out cheaper too (by gram vs a box)! Would purchase again! " On the flip side, a less satisfied customer remarked: "I mean it's okay, the actual ball it could have been filled up slightly more than it was done. But it makes a great gift."

Another added: "Great gift for someone. My only downside would be that there are places that you can get this cheaper."

The Lindt Lindor Truffle Ball is available for £12 on Amazon or directly from Lindt. For those seeking another chocolatey treat, Hotel Chocolat's Everything Sleekster, boasting 44 signature chocolates, retails at £44.95. Meanwhile, Fortnum and Mason are offering a Milk Chocolate Selection box for £40.
