Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood was left unimpressed on Saturday night, as he was booed once again by the live audience.

As he gave his critique to singer and Coronation Street star Shayne Ward, he was faced with loud booing. Craig had pointed out some issues with Shayne and pro dancer Nancy Xu's latest routine.

But moments earlier his co-judge Anton Du Beke also shared some criticism. Anton wasn't booed though, so when Craig got a chorus of shouts he was quick to bring this up.

Shayne and Nancy performed the Cha Cha to Ain’t No Love (Ain’t No Use) by Sub Sub feat. Melanie Williams. As it came to an end the judges praised The X Factor winner for his routine, but there was some criticism.

Anton had told Shayne he'd made a "huge improvement", telling him: "Keep that going." His other critique seemed to be about previous weeks, whereas Craig's own feedback was about this week - probably explaining the boos.

He told Shayne: "For me it lacked resistance and tone. Also..." before being interrupted by loud booing. Pulling a face at the crowd, he barked back: "You didn't boo Anton when he was s***ging it off darling."

He carried on: "The arms do need attention, I agree with that, but you have fantastic rhythm. You have a great grove going on my darling. I liked it a lot." It comes as Nick Knowles made his return to the show after missing last week's episode due to an injury.

A BBC Spokesperson said: “We are all delighted that Nick Knowles and Luba Mushtuk will be dancing in this Saturday’s show. Nick has been cleared to dance by the medical and physio teams following his injury last week. Due to time taken out of training this week, they will be performing their Movies Week Charleston to Rain On The Roof from Paddington 2.”

Nick was left left watching Movie Week backstage after a second injury ruled him out of performing on the live. show. The TV builder couldn't take to the dance floor for Saturday's performance due to a "quite painful" knee injury sustained after taking a tumble in Friday's practice session.

Turning to Twitter /X with a snapshot of himself tuning into the show later in the day, Nick shared: "Gutted not to be out there with everyone tonight on the @bbcstrictly dance floor, but still suited up and cheering them on from the sofa."
