Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left unimpressed just minutes into the live show as they complained about the new format to the show.

The BBC competition returned to our TV screens on Saturday (October 26) for another nail-biting show. Things were heating up as the remaining celebs geared up to battle it out to secure their place in the competition.

This week the couples are going all out with their routines and costumes for Halloween week. Reality star Pete Wicks has dressed up as The Joker alongside his professional partner Jowita Przystał as Harley Quinn.

Meanwhile EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick and pro dancer Michelle Tsiakkas have transformed into Wednesday and Pugsley Addams.

The judges also put out all the stops for the spooky season as viewers saw judge Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke as the twins from the Shining, Motsi Mabuse as Cruella de Vill and Shirley Ballas as Winifred Sanderson.

Despite the glitz and glamour going on, viewers watching at home were quick to issue a complaint after watching the show's intro and they wasted no time sharing their reaction on X, formerly known as Twitter.

One viewer said: "Can they please stop doing these stupid intros. They’re beyond embarrassing for all involved #Strictly."

Another fumed: "Please please please stop with Tess and Claudia just standing there." A third wrote: "I still despise the opening to the show."
