Tom Parker's widow Kelsey has reached out to "good soul" Liam Payne's ex Cheryl over her son Bear, after her children also experienced the harrowing loss of their dad.

The Wanted singer's wife had two children with Tom, daughter Aurelia and son Bodhi, who lost their dad at the age of 33 after he was diagnosed with brain cancer.

And following Liam Payne's shock death, aged 31, Kelsey has reached out to Cheryl, who has a seven-year-old son with the former One Direction star.

Liam died after falling from a third floor balcony of a Buenos Aires hotel on Wednesday evening.

Posting on her Instagram Story, Kelsey, 33, shared a heart-wrenching poem about losing a father. It reads: "Dear daddy, you told me that you always be watching me from the sky. Today I am here looking for the most shiniest star that would be you looking at me. Daddy if I could have one wish it would be to have you here with me, to tell you how much I miss you, to tell you what a great daddy you were and to wish that you would never leave me again.

"I love you daddy."

Mum-of-two Kelsey also spoke about the tragic loss on her Mum's The Word podcast, which she records with TV presenter Georgie Thompson. Kelsey spoke about how supportive "good soul" Liam was during Tom's illness, sending her condolences to Liam's family and his son Bear.

She said: "When Tom got sick it really resonated with Liam and he reached out, he was really there for Tom - we did this whole massive gig for Stand Up To Cancer and we raised over a million pounds and Liam actually came and performed at that.

"And when Tom passed Liam came to Tom's funeral and, you know, when you just think about someone 'you’re a good soul' - he didn’t need to come to Tom's funeral. He felt that he needed to be there he was so supportive, he always used to reach out to me, 'Kels I can see that you're doing so well'. He always checked in."

After news of Liam's death was confirmed, Cheryl broke her silence with a heartbreaking statement. She said: "As I try to navigate this earth shattering event, and work through my own grief at this indescribably painful time, I'd like to kindly remind everyone that we have lost a human being. Liam was not only a pop star and celebrity, he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a dear friend and a father to our 7 year old son. A son that now has to face the reality of never seeing his father again."

The chart-topping singer went on to add: "What is troubling my spirit the most is that one day Bear will have access to the abhorrent reports and media exploitation we have seen in the past two days. It is breaking my heart further that I cannot protect him from that in his future.

"I am begging you to consider what use some of these reports are serving, other than to cause further harm to everyone left behind picking up the pieces. Before you leave comments or make videos, ask yourself if you would like your own child or family to read them. Please give Liam the little dignity he has left in the wake of his death to rest in some peace at last. Thank you, Cheryl."
