BBC Strictly Come Dancing JB Gill's very talented kids have already started amazing careers

Strictly Come Dancing star JB Gill may be a skilled singer and dancer, but his two young kids are already shaping up to be stars in their own right. Here we take a look at their time in the spotlight

JLS had a hit with 2009 song ‘One Shot’ - but for band member JB Gill, it seems his little family actually have had many shots at fame.

The Strictly Come Dancing star, who is currently using his musical talent to wow crowds alongside partner Amy Dowden, has two young kids who have already worked as actors. The pop star, 37, is married to wife Chloe, whom he met when she was working as a backup dancer for JLS, and they have a son named Ace who was born in 2014 and a daughter called Chiara in 2018.

The family lives on a farm in Sevenoaks, Kent, but that hasn’t stopped them from straying from the showbiz spotlight. In a chat with Hello, mum Chloe explained, "Chiara is definitely a performer. She loves her dancing and she's just started gymnastics. When we film audition tapes for Ace, we have to do one for Chiara, too."

Ace, nine, starred in BBC drama Chloe in 2022, and because of Chiara’s big personality, she was also cast in the show. JB said: "Ace was doing a self-tape and Chiara was like: 'I need to do it as well.' She just sat in the background, playing with her toys, and we had to send it because we didn't have another one. The production team saw it and were like: 'She's amazing. Can we have her, too?'"

Young Ace also appeared in hit show Grantchester in 2014, and is signed up to a model agency. But if that wasn’t enough the nine-year-old is also a footy player, and is currently an U10 academy player at Tottenham Hotspur Academy. And while that is every boy’s dream it does stop him watching his dad live on Strictly. JB told the BBC: “Ace wants to watch all the shows live but he has football the following morning so we’ll watch with the kids after football on Sunday.”

Chiara, five, is hot on her brother’s tails when it comes to succes, having already modelled for a cookbook and brands including Barbour. Speaking of his gorgeous kids, the singer, who shot to fame on X Factor, explained. “Family is everything to me. Chiara has already made cards and little tokens for me to put in my dressing room for the live shows and then my wife will be there every single week for as long as I’m in it.”

Despite his gruellling dance training schedule, JB is sure to care out time with his youngsters. Ahead of his first Strictly dance the singer revealed: “I’m planning to do the morning school run every day. And once the kids have finished school and all their activities, we'll hopefully be able to have dinner together most days which is an important time for us to debrief about training and chat about the days that we've had.”
