David and Victoria Beckham have bought a new nine-bedroom mansion in Miami - and paid the £55million in cash.

Posh and Becks reportedly did not need a mortgage for the grand property, which has a 124ft pool, chef’s kitchen and cinema room. They signed the deeds for on October 3 and it's thought the couple "want to spend as much time there as possible".

David, the co-owner of Inter Miami CF, already has an £18million flat in the Florida city with Victoria. The two pads are part of the couple's impressive property portfolio, which also includes a £31million townhouse in Holland Park, west London.

An insider said: "David and Victoria are loaded but buying a £55.6million house with cash is impressive. They adore it and want to spend as much time there as possible. It’s their dream property and the culmination of all their hard work."

Photographs show the mansion overlooks Biscayne Bay, a lagoon on the Atlantic coast of Florida. It has nine bedrooms, in addition to the large cinema room.

The Beckhams were said to be worth more than £450million at the start of this year. David, 49, coins it in from brand partnerships and licensing deals and Victoria’s fashion firm has grown profits.

David launched Inter Miami CF in 2018 and the football club, with star player Lionel Messi, is now reported to be worth £803million. Victoria, 50, is an internationally recognised style icon and fashion designer. She was the 52nd richest woman in Britain in 2007, by which time the mum had been in five official documentaries and reality shows. Spice Girls disbanded six years previous, two years after Victoria and David tied the knot at Luttrellstown Castle, Ireland.

The Beckhams's new purchase comes in the wake of a scandal involving Inter Miami CF, a side only founded in 2018. FIFA has decided to hand Inter Miami a place in the Club World Cup.

Gianni Infantino announced on Sunday Miami had been chosen as one of the 32 sides which will compete in the tournament, which will be played in the United States from June 15 to July 13. David Beckham’s franchise are taking the host nation spot, despite FIFA having previously failed to announce the selection criteria.
