by Bradley Jolly · The MirrorLady Louise Windsor could follow in the footsteps of Prince William and Princess Kate - if her romance with boyfriend Felix da Silva-Clamp goes all the distance.
The young royal, who turns 21 today, met Felix at St Andrews University in Scotland - where her cousin William met Kate in 2001. They were living at the St Salvator's Hall on campus and soon developed a romance.
Photographs show Lady Louise, daughter of Edward and Sophie, Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, partying with Felix at a fundraiser for the university's drama society earlier this year. It is believed they have been dating for some time and Felix gets on with Edward and Sophie.
William and Kate married in April 2011, ten years after meeting at the university. Should Lady Louise and Felix's relationship continue and goes the distance, they too would become royals tying the knot after - not only meeting during higher education - but catching the eye at St Andrews University itself. There is no suggestion, though, the couple are engaged at this early stage.
The pictures, taken earlier this year, capture Louise showing off her moves on the dance floor and snapping selfies with Felix. She looks particularly cosy with Felix, as the images show the duo with arms wrapped around each other, gently placing their heads together. Another pictures shows Lady Louise snuggling up to Felix, placing her hand on his chest and her head on his shoulder.
Felix, the son of a solicitor, travelled to the Sandringham estate in Norfolk to see Louise at her driving competition in June, where she won an impressive silver medal. The student was born in London but went to Melbourne Grammar School and his mother, who works for the World Health Organisation's mental health gap action programme, currently lives Down Under. It has been reported Lady Louise is keen to jet off to Australia for her final year of uni - with Macquarie University at the top of her list.
Lady Louise is thought to have been extremely close with her late grandmother, having paid nearly fortnightly visits to Elizabeth and Phillip. Ingrid Seward, royal commentator, explained Louise and her brother, James, Earl of Wessex, "were the grandchildren that they saw the most."
In comparison, "while the older ones were seen less frequently, this little girl was there every weekend." It was even reported that Louise had no idea her grandmother was the Queen until later in life, her parents wanting to preserve a "normal childhood" for her.
