Sean 'Diddy' Combs' ex Kim Porter's bizarrely calm reaction to X-rated nightclub antics

As Sean P Diddy Combs currently finds himself behind bars awaiting trial, we're taking a trip down memory lane to revisit his ex-girlfriend Kim Porter's response to the producer's "bizarre" antics at a Paris nightclub.

Our very own Head of Showbiz at The Mirror, Tom Bryant, had an insider's view into Sean Combs' life and his relationship with his late girlfriend Kim during a night out in 2007. As he sat in the VIP section of a club, he observed a peculiar interaction between the former couple, with Kim appearing nonchalant about a rather risqué spectacle that unfolded before them.

While enjoying his champagne in the exclusive backroom with P Diddy and Kim, Tom was taken aback when a stranger's foot brushed against his face. Looking up, he saw a woman being hoisted over Diddy's security and "plonked down by Diddy's side where she proceeds to gyrate energetically next to him."

After witnessing this shocking sequence of events, Tom looked around to gauge the reactions of those present. He was surprised to find that even Diddy's girlfriend seemed unfazed by the display. He recalled: "I'll never forget his partner Kim, who has since passed away, sitting by his side, and seemingly unperturbed by the X-rated scene unfolding before her."

Kim Porter and P Diddy had a rollercoaster relationship that lasted over a decade, with their tumultuous breakup making headlines due to allegations of Diddy's infidelity. Following their split, Kim was reported to have thrown a television at Diddy in a fit of rage. When asked about the incident, she didn't deny it, instead clarifying in an Essence interview that it was "a small one."

The couple were together from the late 90s until 2007, during which time they welcomed three children - son Christian Combs and twin daughters D'Lila Star and Jessie James. Tragically, Kim passed away on November 15, 2018, aged 47, from lobar pneumonia after suffering from flu-like symptoms for several days.

It comes as P Diddy has been ordered to be held without bail after being charged with sex trafficking. Manhattan federal Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky made the ruling after an almost two-hour-long hearing where prosecutors and the musician's lawyer argued on whether he should be jailed until he faces trial.

The judge agreed with the argument put forward by the US Attorney’s office that Combs is a danger to the public and the potential witness in the case against him. He pleaded not guilty to racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges this afternoon, with his lawyers offering $50million (£38m) for bail and in-home detention.

Judge Tarnofsky heard both sides and taking a brief break to consult with court officials, it was ordered that Combs be ‘detained’. The next hearing is set for September 24. The Last Night rapper was led out of court without being handcuffed.

Combs' lawyers offered the $50m bond, with travel restrictions and a NYC-based "home detention with GPS monitoring" system. The US Attorney's office disagreed and wanted Judge Tarnofsky to order him to remain in custody. Assistant US Attorney Emily Johnson said: "Mr. Combs physically and sexually abused victims for decades. He used the vast resources of his company to facilitate his abuse and cover up his crimes. Simply put, he is a serial abuser and a serial obstructer."

She added that he had an “extensive and exhaustive history of obstruction of justice,” including alleged bribery and witness intimidation. Combs' lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, said Combs wasn't a "perfect person" and told the court that "there has been drug use. He has been in toxic relationships."

Before his arrest, he was seen out and about in Central Park in Manhattan. Raids had been carried out following sexual lawsuits filed against him, firstly by his ex-girlfriend Cassandra 'Cassie' Ventura in November 2023. In the criminal indictment that was unsealed yesterday, it was claimed Combs hit and abused women for more than a decade and presided over a sordid empire of sexual “freak offs”.
