It's the most wonderful time of the year. No, it's not Christmas (yet), but it is almost time for this year's Call of Duty title to drop. Here's exactly when Black Ops 6 goes live.

The latest Call of Duty title is almost here, and it's a big one, with Black Ops 6 releasing worldwide at the end of this week. Activision's newest FPS is the first Black Ops game to release since Cold War back in 2020, with primary developer, Treyarch, given four long years to cook – and whisper it quietly, but it seems like it's done just that.

Player movement has been completely overhauled thanks to the new, game-changing Omnimovement feature, which allows players to sprint, slide and jump in any direction; plus Black Ops 6 Zombies reintroduces round-based Zombies gameplay, which most players will agree is a much more appropriate implementation of the mode than the open-world experience players had to endure in MW3. And, of course, no new Call of Duty title would be complete without a brand new single-player campaign which, while not offering early access like in previous years, is available to preload right now.

Warzone has been given a long-awaited stim in the arm too it seems, with the brand new Area 99 Resurgence map, the new Omnimovement gameplay integration, and of course, the return of the iconic Verdansk battle royale map, although players will have to wait until Spring 2025 to enjoy it's re-introduction. And, although the Black Ops 6 Warzone release date has yet to be officially confirmed, a recent promo seems to have leaked the release date as November 14, 2024.

But back to the Black Ops 6 release – here's exactly when it goes live on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.

Black Ops 6 release time

The Black Ops 6 release time isn't the simplest, with the Activision blog post detailing that the game will go live on consoles over a 19-hour period, while for PC players, it depends on the platform; Battle.net and Steam the have a blissfully simple Black Ops 6 release time while Microsoft PC players will be subject to the same window of time as console players.

Black Ops 6 release time – PC

The Black Ops 6 release time on PC (via Battle.net and Steam) is 5am BST / 12am EDT on Friday, October 25, which is 9pm PDT on Thursday, October 24. For Microsoft PC players, the Black Ops 6 release will roll out between the following times:

  • UK: 12pm BST on Thursday, October 24 – 7am BST on Friday, October 25
  • US East Coast: 7am EDT on Thursday, October 24 – 2am on Friday, October 25
  • US West Coast: 4am PDT – 11pm on Thursday, October 24

Black Ops 6 release time – Xbox and PlayStation

US East Coast: 7am EDT on Thursday, October 24 – 2am on Friday, October 25
US West Coast: 4am PDT – 11pm on Thursday, October 24

Got all that? Great, you're almost ready to jump into Black Ops 6! It's important to note too that if you're looking to jump into the Zombies main quests on both Terminus and Liberty Falls maps, Treyarch has confirmed that these are planned to go live at 6pm BST / 1pm EDT / 10am PDT, so you might have to dive into the campaign or multiplayer before assembling your squad for Zombies!
