Nobody Wants This airs on Netflix on September 26 and it follows the unlikely relationship between rabbi Noah (played by Adam Brody) and sex podcast creator, Joanne (Kristen Bell).

Adam Brody, 44, from California, is known for his role as Seth Cohen in The O.C and he starred in and produced the television series StartUp. He has younger twin brothers, Sean and Matthew, and his parents are both Jewish.

He grew up in San Diego and admitted he got poor grades at school, saying he would spend most of his time on the beach surfing. He told Blogger News: "While I wasn’t a Casanova, I had cute girlfriends.

"I was all about surfing and pretty much lived at the beach–I was the California Guy. I had poor grades and knew only one other Jewish kid.

"Then I moved to Hollywood and realized that reading and drinking coffee are where it's at and that everyone’s Jewish. So I became more nerdy and embraced my neurotic side."

He attended MiraCosta College for one year, dropping out at the age of 19, before moving to Hollywood to become an actor.

In March 2010, he met Gossip Girl actress Leighton Meester while filming The Oranges in New York and they got married during a private ceremony in 2014.

They had a daughter, Arlo Day, in 2015 and their second child, a son, was born in 2020.

Adam said on Twitch during Hold the Phone TV's The Fun Time Boys Game Night Spectacular: "I have a new kid. Since last I played, I have a new kid.

"I have a boy, and he's a dream. He's a dream boy." Speaking to Glamour in September 2018, Leighton explained she still finds a way to relate to her Single Parents character Angie D'Amato, even though she now has children.

She said: "Nobody can tell you what parenthood is going to be like. You think you know, and then it's just so hard.

"I feel so, so lucky that I have help and a husband. I feel stable, but there are so many people who don't have that.

"In a really tender way, Single Parents explores how parenting is an emotional roller coaster."
