Craig Revel Horwood has sashayed back onto our TVs with Strictly Come Dancing kicking off its 22nd season on the BBC. Although Craig is a familiar face to fans after two decades on the airwaves, many were gobsmacked when he posted an old-school pic from the '80s - showing a look that's worlds apart from today.

This Morning's audience got a dose of nostalgia as Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle chucked a retro picture of Craig onto the screen. ""All morning, we've been dancing to the very best of the 80s floor fillers and now the disco diva himself has joined us," Josie gushed as she welcomed Craig. The monochrome shot flaunted a younger Craig rocking the classic stubble and an epic mullet do.

The nostalgic photo elicited a gasp from Josie who couldn't help but blurt out, "Oh my goodness Craig! " In a cheeky comeback, Craig joked about his present-day style, "It looks like I'm trying to recreate that now, I am growing the beard and I'm growing my hair just that little bit longer! Is that a bad thing?" As Josie praised his throwback chic, his TV partner quizzed him about his fondness for the bygone days.

Reflecting with a touch of sentimentality, the dance virtuoso said, "I adored the 80s! I was so pleased that I was born in 1965 so I could enjoy the '80s in my 20s. That's when my dance career sort of started."

Craig recently shared his thoughts on the headline-grabbing dramas involving Amanda Abbington and Giovanni Pernice, as reported by the Express. Surprised by the controversies, Craig set the record straight by noting that the judges have no involvement in the training process of the contestants.

Craig Revel Horwood has been a judge on Strictly Come Dancing since it began in 2004

He explained: "We have nothing to do whatsoever with their training or how they get there to that point on Saturday night. We don't even see the camera rehearsals on the Friday so literally come in on the Saturday and judge what we see and it's done."

Craig expressed his eagerness for the investigations into the drama to conclude, saying: "I just want the investigation to be over so I can find out myself the truth because I have nothing really to say. You know it's really hard to pass judgement on 'he said this and she said that'. It's really difficult and it has erupted and of course, I've watched the Amanda tape and all that sort of stuff and I'm just blown away by the whole situation."
