Nadiya Bychkova breaks silence on 'Strictly complaint' after Kai Widdrington 'split'

Strictly Come Dancing professional Nadiya Bychkova has taken to social media to address reports that she raised concerns to the BBC about the hit BBC show

Strictly Come Dancing's Nadiya Bychkova previously broken her silence amid swirling rumours surrounding the show.

The Ukrainian born professional dancer, who recently called it quits with fellow dancer Kai Widdrington, cleared the air on social media back in July when it was reported that she and Kai pressed for talks with the BBC amid the previous investigation into the show's behind-the-scenes conduct.

Nadiya shared snapshots of her basking in the sunlight with her seven-year-old daughter Mila. Alongside the sunny snaps, Nadiya clarified: "There have been lots of Strictly rumours around in the last few days and I just wanted you to know that I have not complained about the programme.

"I am looking forward to the new series and can't wait for it to start." She signed off her post with a nod to quality time, stating: "Enjoying a wonderful weekend with my family."

Fans flocked to the comments section to show their support, as one fan enthused: "So glad to hear you're okay! Can't wait for the new series either and hoping you get a partner this year too! " Meanwhile, others offered warm words and anticipation, with comments such as: "Glad you are ok and that you have put the record straight xxx."

Another one of her fans posted: "It's a real shame that this situation has happened. You have always been held in the utmost respect as far as I am concerned. Like you I am very much looking forward to the new series and will be wishing you all the very best.", reports OK!

It comes as it was claimed professional dancers Kai and Nadiya were keeping their distance from each other behind the scenes. The pair split before the start of this year's series of the BBC dance competition after finding love on the show. They had started dating in 2022 and tried to keep their romance away from the spotlight before eventually going public.

It was reported at the time the split was amicable, but claims later emerged that the couple are "no longer on friendly terms". Just last week, Nadiya revealed to the Mirror that the former pair are "not friends". Asked about the break up, Nadiya said: "We work together but we are not friends and that’s okay. One thing I can tell you is that when you see me dancing with him it will be amazing because I’m a professional."

A source told the Sun that they didn't want to be near each other on the show. They said: "They refuse to be near each other at all on set- but there's not much room up there with all the professionals. They just have to do their best to avoid each other every weekend."
