Jamie Foxx has walked his daughter down the aisle a year on from being hospitalised with a mystery illness.

The 56-year-old Django star, who won an Oscar for his portrayal of singing legend Ray Charles, was rushed to hospital last April while working on the Netflix film Back In Action alongside Cameron Diaz.

Exact details of what happened to him have still not been revealed, but the actor appeared to be back in full health as he attended his daughter's wedding over the weekend. Jamie looked sharp in a black tuxedo as he beamed with pride on daughter Corinne’s big day.

Understandably 30-year-old Corinne, who is also an actor, also couldn’t contain her excitement as she tied the knot with her writer-director beau Joe Hooten in a lavish ceremony in Los Angeles over the weekend.

Corinne stunned in an off-the-shoulder dress which had a short skirt at the front and train at the back. In snaps shared by her father’s The Jamie Foxx Show co-star Garcelle Beauvais, the actor was also pictured in a father-daughter dance with Corinne after the ceremony.

Posting the snaps on Instagram, Garcelle wrote: “Last night we got to witness & celebrate the love of @corinnefoxx and @joe.hooten your love & respect for each other is palpable. Corinne, you looked stunning.” Earlier this year, Jamie revealed how he ‘took a pill for a bad headache’ and ‘woke up 20 days later’ when he was hospitalised in April 2023. The Horrible Bosses star has since said he ‘doesn’t remember anything’.

At the time his daughter Corinne described what happened to her father as a ‘medical complication’. The actor gave a few more details about his ordeal when speaking at an event in May this year. He shared: "I had a bad headache. Asked my boy for an Advil." Jamie then snapped his fingers before telling the crowd: "I was gone for 20 days. I don't remember anything. So they told me... I'm in Atlanta... they told me... my sister and daughter took me to the first doctor. [They] gave me a cortisone shot."

Cortisone injections are used to treat swollen and painful joints or muscle pain. They are also used to treat painful tendons and bursitis, when the fluid-filled sacs that cushion a joint become swollen, according to the NHS. In an emergency, medical staff may give higher doses of hydrocortisone injections to treat severe asthma, allergic reactions, severe shock due to injury or infection, or failure of the adrenal glands that sit on top of the kidneys.

Pointing at his head, Jamie continued: "Next doctor said '[there's] something going on up there'. I won't say it on camera. Yeah, I don't want to say it on camera." He denied speculation about being paralysed and said rumours had started because he didn’t give fans a health update. He explained: "By being quiet, sometimes things get out of hand. People saying what I got. Some people said I was blind, but as you can see, uh, but as you can see the eyes are working, the eyes are working just fine. They said I was paralysed, I'm not paralysed."

Jamie admitted that he was "very sick", but was grateful to still be here. He said: "I went to hell and back. And my road to recovery had some potholes as well, but I'm coming back." Expressing gratitude for the support from his fans, he added: "If you see me out from now on and every once in a while I just burst into tears, it's just because it's been tough, man.”
