Pete Wicks has addressed speculation of a romance with his Strictly Come Dancing partner Jowita Przystal, after saying they're 'in a bubble. Whilst appearing on This Morning on Wednesday (October 30) to talk about his journey on the BBC dance contest, Pete and Jowita were quizzed on their connection by presenters Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.

The reality TV star and podcast host received his highest score of the competition so far last weekend as part of the show's Halloween Week. The pair performed a Viennese waltz inspired by Todd Phillips’ Joker film, scoring 31 points from the judges and landing them in 6th place on the leaderboard.

During his interview, Pete was asked how he feels about the feedback, telling hosts Alison and Dermot: "I'm kind of in my own little world, we're in a bit of a bubble when we're dancing."

Alison then soon chimed in, asking: "Is it a love bubble?," to which Pete quickly quashed speculation saying: "It's not a love bubble unfortunately, you came in early that was about 30 seconds."

He then went onto explain: "We have great chemistry because we’ve become such good friends. She’s one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met, genuinely, not just in the dancing side of things, but outside of that, and I think that helps us with the dancing."

When asked if the rumours bother him, Pete responded: "It’s always the same. I’m used to it. (For) Ten years that’s all anyone has ever really been interested in, is that side of stuff. But we don’t really listen to all of that."

Strictly pro Jowita Przystal then shared her sentiments towards Amy Dowden. "Unfortunately, she won’t perform this week with us and we’re all gutted", Jowita admitted.

She emphasized the priority of Amy's health and conveyed the Strictly team's well wishes: "But, you know, her health is the most important thing that she’s taking care of right now... and we are all sending her all our love. And we hope she will just get better soon and she will come back to us."

Pete, known for his role on The Only Way Is Essex, is no stranger to gossip, having been linked to Love Island's Maura Higgins in the past.

Earlier this week, 33 year old reality star Maura spoke about their connection on the We Need To Talk podcast with Paul Carrick Brunson. "We just get on very, very well," she said, recounting how Celebs Go Dating guru Brunson spotted them together in a lift at the Baftas.
