BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans ask Vito Coppola question before 'broken' admission

by · Manchester Evening News

Strictly Come Dancing fans were rushing to ask the same question before Vito Coppola made an unfortunate admission. The Italian dancer was back in the ballroom on Saturday night (October 26) with celebrity dance partner Sarah Hadland.

It was week six of the BBC One dance contest and it also happened to be the hit show's spooktacular Halloween special. It saw the remaining 11 couples take to the ballroom floor once again, this time dressed in spooky attire, in the hopes of making it through to another week in the competition.

It was, however, the judges that kicked things off with viewers 'screaming' over Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke who caused a huge surprise as they appeared dressed as the Grady sisters from Stanley Kubrick's 1980 film.

As well as Craig and Anton, Motsi Mabuse came dressed as classic Disney villain Cruella de Vill while head judge Shirley Ballas appeared as Hocus Pocus' Winifred Sanderson.

But it was later Miranda star Sarah and EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick who jointly topped the Strictly leaderboard at the end of a dramatic Halloween week.

Sarah and reigning Strictly champion Vito secured a score of 38 by impressing the judges with their heated Argentine tango to Ready Or Not by Fugees which was filled with challenging lifts and graceful footwork.

Judges Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke both declared it the “dance of the night”, while Craig Revel Horwood noted Hadland had an issue with her first lift but he still thought it was “the most wonderful Argentine tango”.

But some Strictly fans were confused when they spotted Vito looking slightly sheepish at the end of his routine before running up the stairs to the 'Clauditorium' with his hands attempting to cover his bottom.

@NorbertEFresno asked: "Has Vito split his trousers? #strictly." @AmyL_IoM echoed: "…has Vito split his trousers? #strictly." @AndieDelicacy added: "Oh NO Vito's torn his trousers #Strictly."

While talking to co-host Claudia Winkleman soon after, Vito explained: "My trousers broke here when I was dancing..." to which the presenter replied: "Thank you, more than enough!"
