BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans spot famous audience member 'on verge of tears' in sweet moment

by · Manchester Evening News

Strictly Come Dancing fans were once again distracted by the show's famous audience members, as they believed one was 'going to cry' following Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal's performance.

The pair paid homage to Todd Phillips’ Joker film with their haunting Viennese waltz to That’s Life by Frank Sinatra, which they performed in second position as the BBC One dance contest's Halloween special got underway on Saturday night (October 26).

Podcast host and reality star Pete channelled the hit film's main character in his infamous red suit and with green hair as he twirled and dipped professional dancer Jowita who donned a red ruffled dress.

Judge Anton Du Beke hailed it as his best dance so far and praised his “breadth of movement” and characterisation. Meanwhile, Shirley Ballas said she was proud of his performance but advised him to get steadier on his feet.

Pete and Jowita went on to secure their highest score of the series with 31 points, with Pete even admitting he was "finally happy" as he impressed himself following his latest live performance.

But it was his best friend Sam who caused a bit of a distraction as he was seen looking as proud as punch as Pete and Jowita completed their routine before getting feedback from the judges.
