BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans 'in tears' over Vito Coppola moment with Claudia Winkleman

Strictly Come Dancing fans said they were 'in tears' as Vito Coppola suffered a hilarious gaffe during the latest live show. The Italian dancer was back in the ballroom on Saturday night (October 12) alongside celebrity dance partner Sarah Hadland.

Miranda star Sarah and Vito were given a total score 27 for their foxtrot to Billie Eilish’s Birds Of A Feather. Ahead of the performance, Sarah was seen in tears as she explained what the song meant to her.

"What does this song mean to you?" Vito asked during the VT to which actress Sarah said: "It's about my family and it's about me and my little one," before fighting tears.

"This song is special to us because we sing it together and we have a little picture of us both as birds that we made together... It would be really lovely to show how I feel in the dance." Vito added: "I promise you I will do my best in order to make sure the dance will represent your relationship."

Following the performance, like all the couple, Sarah and Vito headed to speak to co-host Claudia Winkleman and wait for their scores. But an excitable Vito got carried away with his chatting leading to Claudia having to cut in. As she turned to face the camera, she held up her hand in a 'stop' motion to Vito, but misreading the signal, he high-fived her.

In response, she said: "More than enough. It wasn't a high-five," which saw Vito say sorry before folding over into giggles. "Just to be clear, it was a halt," Claudia clarified.

And the moment didn't go unnoticed by viewers. Alongside a clip, @superTV247 said: "I’M IN TEARS #Strictly." @sequinnedsheep COMMENTED: "Vito explaining the feather step and Birds of a feather and giving Claudia a high five when she held up her hand to stop him talking #Strictly."
