British Airways has been forced to apologise after model David Gandy was reallocated seating away from his child on a flight. The incident occurred as Gandy returned from a family holiday in Marrakesh, Morocco, with his wife Stephanie Mendoros and their two children.

On social media, Gandy expressed his frustration with British Airways, stating they had 'oversold the flight'. He insisted it was unacceptable for his two-year-old to be seated alone next to a stranger.

Gandy wrote: "Seats allocated to us have disappeared and you think its ok for my two year old to be sat on her own next to a stranger? What if there’s an emergency?"

Gandy claimed he was told by the airline there was 'nothing we can do', before urging British Airways to improve. He added: "BA you can do better than this."

In response, a spokesperson for British Airways said: "We’re very sorry this happened and are investigating so we can understand how it occurred... We’ll also be reaching out to our customer to put it right."

Gandy, who is the creator of fashion label David Gandy Wellwear, gained fame for his appearance in Dolce and Gabbana’s 2007 Light Blue fragrance campaign where he donned white briefs. He is recognised as one of the highest-earning male models in the industry.
