BBC Strictly Come Dancing winner 'revealed' months early after opening credits 'clue'

by · Manchester Evening News

The competition may be well underway but the end of Strictly Come Dancing still seems a while off to be naming the winner. There are currently 13 couples left in this year's BBC One dance contest as week four arrives.

But it's already been an impressive start with scores hitting as high as 35 within the first three weeks of competition, suggesting numerous stars stand a chance at securing the Glitterball.

However, one observant Strictly fan believes they've already determined the winner - and the clue they say is hidden in the hit dance show's opening credits.

Reddit user MorningMist13 has analysed the previous seasons of the show and deduced that the celebrity who is shown sixth in the line-up may have higher chances of success, reports the Express.

This theory stems from the fact that the last three celebrities who won the show were all featured in this position within the opening credits. Additionally, six other individuals who were placed in that position managed to reach the finals.

According to this viewer's calculations, it suggests that former footballer Paul Merson and his professional partner Karen Hauer will be crowned champions despite him facing the dance-off alongside Toyah Willcox last weekend after their performances failed to win over audiences.

The Strictly enthusiast also asserts that the person shown 13th in the credits has the worst odds of winning, with no previous stars winning from that position. This year, occupying that spot are Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola who are currently leading the competition after earning a score of 33 in week three.

It comes following Toyah's departure from the show, body language and behavioural expert Darren Stanton has revealed who could be leaving next.

On behalf of Betfair Casino, Darren has predicted two more celebs who could find themselves in the bottom two this week, pointing to EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick and former hockey player Sam Quek.

During the upcoming live show, Jamie and Michelle will perform a Salsa to Danza Kuduro by Don Omar and Lucenzo while Sam and her dance partner Nikita Kuzmin will dance the Samba to Hips Don’t Lie by Shakira.
