Strictly Come Dancing's Jamie Borthwick and Michelle Tsiakkas

BBC Strictly Come Dancing star Jamie Borthwick exposes his 'other partnership'

Jamie Borthwick's second Strictly Come Dancing partnership has been 'exposed'. The EastEnders actor is currently competing in the BBC One dance contest alongside professional dancer Michelle Tsiakkas.

During their latest stint in the ballroom, things got particularly tense on the judging panel between Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel Horwood.

Following Jamie and Michelle's Rumba to Ain't No Sunshine by Bill Withers, which earned them 27 points out of a possible 40, Craig said: "I felt it lacked connection. I felt it lacked an emotional connection between both of you! It felt like you were dancing by numbers."

He then added that he could sense that they were thinking about every dance move but it failed to "lift". Craig said "I felt like we lost the story. I felt like we lost everything that rumba is about.

But Shirley bit back: "He's got to start somewhere, it's week two!" Slamming her hand on the table in front of her, she exclaimed: "He can have a bit more flow!" As the pair became louder, fellow judge Moti Mabuse interrupted them and asked if she could give her comments, managing to diffuse the situation.

Jamie has now had his say on the Strictly spin-off It Takes Two. He told co-host Janette Manrara: "To be honest, biasedly, if that is even a word – I disagree with Craig. I think there was a fantastic connection." He then turned to grin at Michelle who chimed in: "I thought there was connection."

Jamie went on to echo: “I think there was fantastic connection," before Michelle praised: "He was so into it... It felt so good." Jamie added: "Bar anything else, I’m pleased – obviously all the judges they all know what they are talking about and they are all fantastic.

"Particularly this week, I was happy that Shirley was happy, because she is the queen. So, I’m happy that she was happy. But you know what, above anything else, I just loved it."

But talk soon turned to Jamie's other 'partnership' in the famous ballroom as Janette revealed: "But Jamie the partnership with Michelle is not the only partnership you've got going on this series, is it?" A video was then played of Jamie singing Shayne Ward's winning X Factor single, That's My Goal, alongside him.

Laughing at the video while joking that he will release an album with Shane, Jamie said: "We are such a really close group and it's so sad with Tom [Dean] going last week, we've lost him and every week someone is going to go." Janette added: "It doesn't get any easier! It gets harder and harder," to which Jamie agreed: "It's horrible."
