Jowita Przystal has left fans gushing over her and Pete Wicks' partnership after he admitted to having a 'tough' week in the training room for Strictly Come Dancing.

The pair have been back in rehearsals for their next performance live in the BBC One dance contest's famous ballroom this Saturday night (October 19).

Last weekend podcast host and reality star Peter made it through to week five of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series after he and Jowita performed a Quickstep to A Town Called Malice by The Jam, with the routine set in a tattoo shop, earning them a total of 29 points out of 40.

It has since been confirmed Pete and Jowita will be dancing the notoriously difficult Rumba, the fourth couple to take on the dance this series, to Don’t Look Back In Anger by Oasis.

But it seems that it hasn't been an easy week for Pete as the time ticks down to his and Jowita's next live performance. Taking to his Instagram Story on Wednesday evening (October 16), Pete shared a mirror selfie of himself and his dance partner and said: "I ain't gonna lie, it's been a tough week but we're getting there... @jowitaprzystal."

Since then, Jowita has taken to her own Instagram page and shared a string of snaps of the pair as they made their latest appearance on Strictly's spin-off show It Takes Two.

"ITT [white heart emoji]. And last hours of rehearsals," she captioned the post before the messages from their fans and followers came flooding in.

It comes after Pete addressed ongoing rumours about him being romantically linked to his Strictly partner Jowita with the pair having garnered attention in recent weeks due to their 'sizzling chemistry'.

Setting the record straight, the 36-year-old gushed over their "great chemistry" and Jowita's good qualities, but insisted they are no more than friends. Asked if they were dating, he said Olivia Attwood's So Wrong, It's Right podcast: "Erm, no. We're dance partners, she's amazing and I get on really well with her.

"She is honestly one of the nicest people I've ever met in my life." Quizzed on how they got paired together, Pete joked: "She's won it before, so I think they thought listen she's already won it, so let's give her someone that she's not going to win it with. So, she's dragging me along the dance floor like a f*****g corpse at the minute, but she's really positive, she's really nice and she's got a very good sense of humour."
