Amazon heated clothes airer for under £30 that 'keeps rooms warm'

Now that we're days away until October, there will be increasingly fewer opportunities to dry clothes outside on the washing line as the weather will inevitably take a turn of the worst. While most households will be opting to use their tumble dryers and radiators to dry laundry, this is often a very expensive and inefficient method.

One way to dry your clothes quickly and easily while slashing energy bills is through a heated clothes airer. They cost just pennies an hour to run an hour and they have the added benefit of heating up a room, too.

While shoppers may be concerned over the initial cost of purchasing a heated airer but that's not a concern with Amazon's Oypla Electrical Heated Folding Clothes Horse. It costs less than £30 and shoppers are raving about it.

Amazon's heated airer features eight drying bars to hang clothes, towels and bed linen on while drying. It's foldable which means it can be easily stored while not in use and it's constructed from a lightweight aluminium which means it's not heavy, either.

The Oypla Electrical Heated Folding Clothes Horse boasts over 120 five-star ratings on Amazon from satisfied shoppers. In the reviews, one person said: "Brilliant, I bought this for my son and he loves it. He says it is great for drying his clothes and he has had turn down his heating."

A second wrote: "So far I'm thrilled with this clothes dryer. I live in a small property, so space is very limited. Most of the other dryers I looked at had the folding wings, which my rooms simply can't accommodate. This takes a full load of washing, dries it fairly quickly, and provides a bit of background heat at the same time. It's sturdy, and although I have yet to fold it up for storage, it was easy to put together."

Somebody else penned: "We have a damp flat and this was the best thing ever. You can leave it on most the time and your clothes won't smell damp."

Among the not-so-glowing reviews, however, one shopper said they were 'kind of happy' with the Oypla Electrical Heated Folding Clothes Horse, as it is 'difficult' to dry heavier items. They said: "I liked this to begin with because it does the job. Now with heavier winter clothes the hanging option doesn't dry all of the garments. I have to leave it on for couple of days and switch sides or drape them all along the top. Looking at other such products it might work better if it came with a cover."

But another loved their latest Amazon home purchase, adding: "Love this, helps to dry clothes quickly. I can't hang clothes outside so was finding it hard to dry clothes. I now hang them on the normal clothes horse and move them to this when they are about 60% dry."

Elsewhere, Dunelm has a range of heated clothes airers including the £95 3 Tier Heated Airer and the slightly cheaper Heated Airer with Wings, which costs £40. At Lakeland, the Dry:Soon 3-Tier Heated Airer and Cover Bundle is on sale for just under £180 down from £224.98, for a limited time.
