BBC Strictly Come Dancing viewers fear for star as she looks 'so sad' during Halloween special

Strictly Come Dancing fans were left feeling concerned for one of the shows stars as Halloween week took place. The annual special took place on Saturday night (October 26) as week six of the competition arrived.

The latest live episode of the BBC One dance contest the remaining 11 couples took to the ballroom floor once again, this time dressed in spooky attire, in the hopes of making it through to another week in Strictly's 20th-anniversary series.

It was judges Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke who stunned fans as they appeared dressed as the Grady sisters from Stanley Kubrick's 1980 film.

As well as Craig and Anton, Motsi Mabuse came dressed as classic Disney villain Cruella de Vill while head judge Shirley Ballas appeared as Hocus Pocus' Winifred Sanderson.

But kicking off the dancing was Chris McCausland. The comedian is among the favourites to lift the Glitterball this year alongside professional dance partner Dianne Buswel, and last weekend they had viewers in tears with their emotional routine to Liverpool FC anthem You'll Never Walk Alone.

But this week, they performed a lively samba to Stayin’ Alive by The Bee Gees. Dressed in a sparkly suit and frazzled wig, the stand-up grooved along the floor in between gravestones with his partner Dianne Buswell, Chris managed to pick up a score of 26 out of a possible 40.

Motsi hailed it as a “fun way to open the show” and said he had “nailed the character”. Head judge Shirley also praised his characterisation and thought he did “incredibly well” but that he “overcooked the bounce” in the dance.

It was later that Strictly viewers expressed their concern for Dianne. @charllockley97 asked: "Is Dianne ok? She doesn’t look happy bless her #Strictly." @thatsmypeachx said: "Dianne looked so sad/worried #strictly."

@AmyAnne54622687 commented: "Dianne looked so disappointed after the judges comments tonight on #strictly." @Diannejoesuggw1 added. "Dianne doesn't seem too happy bless her, I hope she remembers how much support her and Chris have #strictly."
