Tommy Fury says 'I'm ok' as he responds to allegations in first TV interview since 'hard' Molly-Mae Hague split

Tommy Fury has said he's 'ok' as he vows to keep what happened in his relationship with Molly-Mae Hague between them as he addressed cheating allegations in his first interview since their split.

The boxer appeared on This Morning on Thursday (October 10) to promote the release of his book, Lightning Can Strike Twice. But it was inevitable that talk turned to the end of his relationship with Molly-Mae, which they confirmed in August.

Tommy and Molly-Mae, who met on Love Island in 2019 and welcomed daughter Bambi into the world last year, had recently celebrated their anniversary and 12 months since they'd agreed to tie the knot when they announced they'd split.

Appearing on the This Morning sofa, Ben Shephard was the first to ask Tommy about the turbulent few months he's had, which is included in an added chapter in his book, and asked him how he was doing.

"I'm feeling ok, I'm feeling good," the 25-year-old replied. "It doesn't take a genius to work out that it's been very touch for me. It's been a very hard time but at the end of the day I'm just knuckling down into my training, taking my daughter to ballet, swimming and whatever else."

He added: "I've just been keeping myself busy and you know, the book. I'm very excited to launch that today and it's going to be an amazing day."

But Ben didn't stop his probe and sharing how Tommy writes in the book about his and Molly-Mae's relationship being very public, he asked how the sportsman and TV star has dealt with the criticism he has faced in the wake of the break-up which saw people "jump to the conclusion he'd done something wrong".

"There's a lot of critics out there and there will be a lot of critics until the day I die, everyone pointing the finger when there's a bandwagon to jump on but at the end of the day, out of respect for Molly and out of respect for myself, to our relationship and to us, I'm going to let us deal with that in private as much as we can.

"I'm just happy to be here today to talk about my book and I want to leave all that stuff to me and Molly because we owe that respect to ourselves to do that." Ben, however, went on: "You did add an extra chapter [to the book] didn't you and there is one accusation that you've addressed which is this accusation that in some way you cheated on Molly.."

On the spot, Tommy continued to duck from Ben's questioning and said: "Like I said, I'm going to leave all that stuff for me and Molly to work through because at the end of the day, a lot of stuff has been put out there, the whole world seen what we've been going through and in the book, I added a last chapter in there.

"I talked about all my feelings leading up [to the split] and how I've felt during this time. It's all in the book, I felt free in the book to speak which is why I added the last chapter to keep everybody up to date. I talk about my feelings in the last two months and it has been tough but you can read about it all in there."

This Morning co-host Cat Deeley then mentioned how it's important he clear up the accusations in order to be in a 'great position' to co-parent daughter Bambi with Molly-Mae. "Me, Molly and Bambi are a family. We're a family unit and we're going to tackle this in private."
