BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans 'obsessed’ as TV star spotted in the audience

by · Manchester Evening News

EastEnders fans were delighted when they spotted Ian Beale actor Adam Woodyatt in the audience during Saturday night’s Strictly Come Dancing. Adam was there to support his fellow soapstar Jamie Borthwick.

The dancing competition returned to our TV screens for the fifth week of live shows. This week 12 celebrities are taking to the dancefloor to battle it out in a bid to secure a place in next week’s Halloween special, and eventually lift the prestigious glitterball trophy.

Jamie Borthwick, who portrays Jay Brown on the BBC show, performed the paso doble with his professional dance partner Michelle Tsiakkas. The dance wowed judges who gave it a score of 39, the second-highest of the series so far.

But it wasn’t just the judges who were impressed. Adam Woodyatt could be seen in the audience pumping the air with his fist when Jamie finished his routine. He was so happy that host Claudia even got the camera to pan on him and said there was “pride in his eyes”.
