Strictly Come Dancing has jokingly revealed the 'first 10' of the 2024 series - and it wasn't for Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec. It was raining top scores for the pair after the closed week four of the BBC One dance contest on Saturday night (October 12).

Former Love Island star Tasha scored the first 10s of this year’s Strictly series as she topped the leaderboard for the third consecutive week.

The 26-year-old, who is the show’s second deaf contestant, scored three 10s for her and professional partner Aljaz's Cochelled-themed Charleston to Unhealthy by Ann-Marie and Shanie Twain.

Anton Du Beke said in his feedback that the routine was "practically perfect". Head judge Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Snton all awarded 10s, with Craig Revel Horwood scoring a nine to take their total to 39 points out of a possible 40.

But Strictly has pointed out that technically, Craig did award a 10 during the latest live show of Stictly's 20th-anniversary year - just not officially.

It came as Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal took to the dancefloor with their Quickstep to A Town Called Malice by The Jam and while it impressed viewers, Craig Revel Horwood was quick to point out that his hip rolls didn't belong in his routine, which landed them a total of 29 points out of 40.

However, Strictly viewers 'screamed' when at the end of his routine Pete, who was seen sporting another different look with a John Travolta-style quiff, when he lifted his shirt to show a 'tattoo' of a smiling Craig holding up a '10' paddle.

Captioning a picutre of the moment on Instagram, the BBC's social media team wrote: "Technically this is the first 10 of #Strictly 2024." And Strictly fans were also reacting to the unexpected moment.

@scddevereaux said: "Pete’s best dance being tattoo themed is quite possibly the most on brand thing I’ve ever seen #strictly." @edgarandrewpoe commented: "THE TATTOO OF CRAIG GIVING A 10 I SCREAMED #Strictly." @minieggsxjesus added: "Love Pete’s new ‘tattoo’ #Strictly."
