Missing Victoria Taylor: Hundreds rally to desperate search after mum vanishes without trace

The best friend of a missing mum has urged the community to continue searching for her as the desperate hunt enters its third day.

Victoria Taylor, 34, was last seen at her home in Malton, North Yorkshire on Monday, September 30. Despite numerous appeals by North Yorkshire Police, Victoria remains missing.

Charlotte Cundill, who created a Facebook page called "The search for Vixx", has asked people to keep sharing and circulating pictures of Victoria. In a post to the Facebook group, which now has over 1,500 members, Charlotte said: "Well another full day to be searching if you can please. Let's keep her picture going on Facebook also. Keep sharing the posts and change profile pics maybe so her face is everywhere."

She also asked if anyone could print out pictures of Victoria with information that she's missing to post on lampposts and other public areas for those who may not have social media.

Charlotte expressed her gratitude for the community's support and help in searching for Victoria, saying: "Just want to bring my good friend home to her partner and little girl. Stay safe and thank you."

The community has rallied together, with dozens of people pleading for Victoria to make contact and return home safely. On the dedicated page, Laura Turnbull posted: "Hope she's found safe and well today! ! Biggest love to you all, can't imagine what you're going through", reports Yorkshire Live.

Louise Walgate shared her concern with: "Can't imagine what you and your family are going through...hoping Vixx Anne is found safe and well." Granny Shiv urged: "Vixx, get intouch with somone, we all want you home" while Chantelle Baker made a heartfelt plea: "My beautiful sister, please come home vicki."

Rhiannon High expressed her thoughts: "Cannot stop thinking about Vixx and all your family! Sending soo much love and prayers" and Danny Murray hoped: "Hope your ok Vixx Anne".

Last seen in Marks and Spencer

Victoria was last believed to have left her home and was spotted in Commercial Street in Norton heading towards the library, later appearing on CCTV in Marks and Spencer purchasing a "bottle of soft drink". Laura Moran updated the Facebook page saying: "She left her home at 9am Monday morning. Someone saw her around that time walking up commercial street towards the library but no sightings since then as far as I'm aware."

Charlotte also mentioned that she distributed 120 posters around the town on Wednesday, and others have placed posters in the GP surgery and businesses across Osbaldwick in York. The search has extended to Leeds, Scarborough, York, Driffield, and Halifax, where Victoria has connections.

Locals have rallied to search for Victoria, scouring locations—from stables to churches—where she might seek refuge. Charlotte explained: "She had her places. Such as grave yard and park but we have checked all the areas she would normally go. She's a creature of habit bless her and this is just not her at all."

Victoria was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black Adidas puffa jacket, and carrying a distinctive salmon/pink rucksack. North Yorkshire Police dive teams have also been meticulously scouring nearby waterways around Malton. A spokesperson from the constabulary has stated: "We're continuing to search for 34 year old Victoria Taylor who has now been missing for three days.

"The last sighting of Victoria was at an address in Malton at 9am on Monday 30 September. Victoria is described as white, approximately 5ft 6 in height. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black Adidas original puffa jacket with white stripes down the sleeves and a grey Jack Wills hooded jumper.

"Members of the public should expect to see an increased police presence in Malton. Today, searches of the riverbanks will take place by our specialist underwater search team."

Inspector Leanne Anderson, from North Yorkshire Police, said: "There are a range of enquiries taking place to try and locate Victoria. This is still a missing person enquiry, and the focus of our activity is within the Malton / Norton area.

"Extensive searches will take place today and I would urge members of the public in the Malton / Norton areas to remain vigilant and report sightings or pass information to police immediately on 101 or 999."
