BBC Strictly Come Dancing viewers demand Dr Punam Krishan 'justice' as Gorka Marquez 'brings back' axed star

Strictly Come Dancing fans have demanded 'justice' for Dr Punam Krishan while her dance partner Gorka Marquez caused quite the distraction during their latest performance in the ballroom.

The Morning Live star and the Spanish dancer were among the 11 couples taking to the dance floor on Saturday night (October 26) during the BBC One dance contest's annual Halloween special.

And as fright night arrived, things didn't quite go Punam and Gorka's way as they came joint bottom of the scoreboard alongside Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell after their tango to Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics which saw them dressed as pirates.

Judge Motsi Mabuse said she saw a “good improvement” this week but wanted Punam to exaggerate more. But The Shining twins Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood found it "floppy" and felt Gorka was "dragging" Punam around the dancefloor.

But it appears Strictly fans thought Punam and Gorka deserved better from the judges as they flocked to social media to comment. @maevejust said: "Justice for Punam and Gorka and Chris and Dianne #strictly."

@Mabel_Mouse_ commented: "Nah... They said Sam wasn’t co-ordinated then give her an 8 yet they said Punam was perfect, criticised her frame so marked her down. It’s an absolute p**s take, #SCD #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly." @envirolineblog wrote: "Punam & Gorka are always under marked, i really enjoyed their dance #strictly."

@hibee_girl posted: "They are so harsh to Punam every week #strictly #StrictlyComeDancing." @nadsa03_ shared: "So harshly scored. Very frustrating. Even with improvement needed no way was it that low." @kr130968 added: "Punam undermarked again - I think she’s doing great."

Others, meanwhile, were distracted as they couldn't help but think that Gorka's wig made him look like a former Strictly professional. @Brekkietweets said:" Gorka as Graziano is the creepiest thing on the show tonight #Strictly." @ultimatesugg commented: "Not sure i'm a fan of gorka cosplaying as graziano here #Strictly." @ZaraPhillips added: "One love's how they have styled Gorka on Graziano tonight. #Strictly."
