EPL: No one is safe – Rio Ferdinand reacts as Man Utd terminate Ferguson’s deal

by · Daily Post

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has reacted to the Premier League club’s decision to end the ambassadorial deal of legendary manager, Sir Alex Ferguson.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Ferdinand said “no one is safe” at Old Trafford.

He wrote: “If Sir Alex can be taken out, then NO ONE IS SAFE at @ManUtd – anyone can get it now. Ineos sending a message to ANYONE at the club?!?”

Ferguson will now step back from his current ambassadorial role at the end of the season.

The decision has been taken as part of a cost-cutting drive at United, since Sir Jim Ratcliffe bought a minority stake in February.

United have also finalised the redundancies of 250 members of staff, saving around £45 million in the process.
