FC Barcelona's attacking trident of Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha has doubled the amount of goals that Real Madrid's much talked about 'BMV' has managed to be involved in thus far this season, as highlighted by SPORT.

With Barca finishing the 2023/2024 season trophyless, yet Los Blancos winning a treble which featured record extending 36th and 15th La Liga and Champions League crowns, there was talk of Carlo Ancelotti's men destroying everyone in its path this term.

This was largely down to the fact that Madrid had added Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to its squad, with a trio completed by Ballon d'Or favourite Vinicius Jr. and Jude Bellingham.

The 'BMV', as the local press dubbed it, was expected to rack up goals for fun, but that hasn't been the case so far with Bellingham failing to hit the back of the net and mustering just one assist.

Mbappe, shoehorned into a central number 9 role, has six goals - three of which are penalties - and one assist, though Vinicius is faring better overall at the moment with five goals and four assists.

All this amounts to 17 goal contributions, yet pales in comparison to what the trio's Blaugrana counterparts are currently coming up with.

In Catlaonia, Lewandowski, Raphinha and Lamine have delivered 34 goals, and this comes with little fanfare about them in preseason.

While Raphinha was essentially put up for sale, Lewandowski was seen by many as past it after losing the Pichichi with the only real buzz quite rightly surrounding prodigious teen talent Lamine who had just returned from winning the Euros with Spain.

Under Hansi Flick, however, Raphinha is in the form of his life with two hat tricks on the left wing at the same time Lewandowski has been rejuvinated and leads the Pichichi top scorer rankings in Spain once more.

The Pole has 12 goals and two assists in the league, while Raphinha has five goals and the same amount of assists.

Lamine has six assists and four goals, which come to a combined count of 21 goals and 13 assists or 34 goal contributions overall to outperform the 'BMV' by some distance thus far.
