Real Madrid Coach Ancelotti Says Mbappe Is ‘Disappointed’ But Claims To Have Team Solution
by Tom Sanderson · ForbesReal Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti said that his striker Kylian Mbappe is "disappointed" with what his happening but claimed to have the solution to his team's problem at a prematch press conference on Friday.
Los Blancos are currently reeling after losing back to back games at home to AC Milan and FC Barcelona.
Ancelotti and Mbappe have come under fire from certain corners of the fanbase and the media, and the Italian was asked about the Frenchman at a prematch press conference to preview another fixture in the Bernabeu against Osasuna on Saturday.
"He is training well, going through a difficult time, like each one of us," Ancelotti confessed.
"And like everyone, he must think that this is an opportunity, that if he is smart he can get through it quickly, with more concentration and attitude. That is how problems must be faced.
"The problem he is suffering is the same as everyone else: he is not able to bring out his best version. But he must live this moment as an opportunity to be better in the future. I am convinced that he will get through this. Convinced. And like him, Vinicius, Rodrygo, [Jude Bellingham... Me! It is a difficult time for everyone, it is obvious," Ancelotti added.
As one of the most experienced managers who has been round the block a few times Ancelotti noted that "it is not unusual to experience something like this".
"It is normal in a sport where defeat is also considered. For a long time we were not used to it, but this moment has arrived, we accept it and, what we cannot do is give up.

"This is a strong, motivated group and the most difficult club in the world. This is the best place to get through difficult times. And I am convinced that we will do it," Ancelotti said.
Ancelotti was also probed on Mbappe not being called up to the France national team squad for upcoming UEFA Nations League matches over the international break.
"I'm not going to talk about this issue, it's Deschamps' decision and I'm not the one to judge this decision. I can't afford that.. We have to accept it. Mbappe is motivated and disappointed by what is happening," Ancelotti stated.
As for Madrid's problem as of late, Ancelotti said that "we think we have found the solution, but this is theory.
"[Putting the theory into] practice will be seen tomorrow. This is not the place to talk about the problems we have had. We have to face the reality which is that we have lost the last few games and we have to do things differently," he stressed.
