‘Slow Horses’ Renewed By Apple TV+ For Season 6

Slow Horses, the critically acclaimed British crime thriller headlined by Gary Oldman, has been confirmed to return for a sixth season by Apple TV+. Based on the Slough House series of novels by Mick Herron, the sixth season will be based on Herron’s Joe Country and Slough House, the sixth and seventh book in the series. The news of the renewal comes ahead of the fifth season, which will be based on the fifth book in the series, London Rules.

Season four of Slow Horses concluded on October 9. In September, the drama won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series.

Per Apple TV+: In season six, the spies head out on the run as Diana Taverner (Kristin Scott Thomas) embroils them all in a fatally high-stakes game of retaliation.

The ensemble cast of Slow Horses includes Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Samuel West, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Ruth Bradley, Tom Brooke, Joanna Scanlan, Jonathan Pryce and recent cast addition Hugo Weaving.

Slow Horses is produced for Apple TV+ by See-Saw Films, with Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Julian Stevens, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Adam Randall, Gail Mutrux, Douglas Urbanski and Oldman serving as executive producers.
