Here are some of the likely candidates to be inducted in the Jammu and Kashmir cabinet:

Sakina Itoo: NC MLA Sakina Itoo, a four-time MLA and former minister, is likely to find a berth in the Union Territory cabinet. Sakeena Itoo is one of the two MLAs who have been elected to the Legislative Assembly on the National Conference candidate. Sakina represents Damhal Hanjipora Seat in South Kashmir.

Ali Mohammed Sagar: Srinagar MLA Ali Mohammed Sagar is also one of the likely candidates in the UT cabinet. The five-time MLA is the General Secretary of the National Conference and close confidant of both Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah. He represents the Khanyaar Assembly segment of Srinagar.

Hasnain Masoodi: NC MLA Masoodi, former Lok Sabha MP, represents the Pampore assembly segment of Pulwama and is likely to be inducted in the UT cabinet.

Javed Rana: Rana is a four-time MLA and a three-time MLA from Mendhar. He is one of the probables in the Jammu and Kashmir cabinet.

Saifullah Mir: Saifullah Mir is also expected to be inducted as a minister in the NC-Congress government. Mir is a four-time MLA from Kupwara.

Surinder Choudhary: The cabinet is also likely to see National Conference MLA Surinder Choudhary who defeated BJP UT chief Ravinder Raina in Nowshera. Choudhary and Arjun Singh Raju are the only two Hindu faces in the NC government.

Independents: Five Independent MLAs from Jammu division who have extended support to the National Conference. Two of the three candidates, including Pyare Lal Sharma and Satish Sharma and Dr Romeshwar Singh, are likely to be inducted in the UT cabinet.

Meanwhile, Omar Abdullah has called a meeting of all administrative secretaries on Wednesday at 3 pm in the Civil Secretariat.

The NC won 42 out of the 90 seats which went to poll in the recent elections, while the Congress won six. Together, the two pre-poll allies hold a majority in the 95-member assembly -- five members are to be nominated by the LG. Their strength is further bolstered by the support from five Independent MLAs-elect and a lone AAP MLA-elect.
