Fresh off a win over Georgia, Alabama is now the No. 1 team in the nation and the Crimson Tide will head on the road during the Week 6 college football schedule. Alabama is at Vanderbilt, who has been a tough double-digit underdog this season, beating Virginia Tech outright and taking Missouri to overtime. The Week 6 college football odds via SportsLine consensus list the Crimson Tide as 23-point favorites.

Other top teams in action include No. 3 Ohio State (-19.5) against Iowa (3:30 p.m. ET, CBS), No. 4 Tennessee (-13.5) against Arkansas and No. 5 Georgia (-24.5) against Auburn. Before locking in any Week 6 college football picks on those games or others, be sure to see the college football betting guide from legendary Vegas handicapper Bruce Marshall

Now, using his Tech Corner technique that evaluates all the trends and the latest college football odds, Marshall has turned his attention to college football betting for Week 6 and revealed picks for each matchup. Head here to see every pick.

Top college football predictions for Week 6

One of the top college football picks Marshall is recommending for Week 6: He's backing the red-hot Indiana Hoosiers to cover the 13.5-point spread against Northwestern in a 3:30 p.m ET matchup.

Indiana is undefeated straight up and has a strong 4-1 record against the spread, only failing to cover a 25.5-point spread in the opener against FIU. The Hoosiers have had no problems ATS in Big Ten play thus far, early covering -3.5 against UCLA on Sept. 14 and then handling a 7.5-point spread in a 14-point win against Maryland last week.

Curt Cignetti's offense has scored at least 42 points in four straight weeks, and Marshall is looking for more of the same against a Northwestern squad that is just 1-3 ATS. Those trends have him pointing to an Indiana cover and the Over (41.5) in this one. See which other picks to make here
