Prince George , Princess Charlotte , and Prince Louis may soon welcome a new addition to their family, according to reports.

The family welcomed a cocker spaniel puppy named Orla in 2021 and Prince William has reportedly shared that the children could soon expect new puppies after going through a “tough year”.

At the reopening of Birtley Community Pool in early October, William was seen telling a fan that Orla may welcome puppies soon. However, he did not specify the timeframe and that it may “take a while”, reports The Express.

Speaking on the Kinsey Scofield Unfiltered podcast, host Kinsey said that the new animals would likely be a "welcomed distraction" after a "tough year" for the family.

Orla is seen as a beloved member of the family, being featured in Princess Charlotte's eighth birthday pictures in 2023.

The dog was also seen in a recent video of the family where Kate revealed that she had come to the end of her chemotherapy treatment.

The Prince and Princess of Wales previously had a beloved dog named Lupo, whom they sadly lost at the end of 2020.

Orla was gifted to the family in 2021 by Princess Kate's brother James, who breeds spaniels.

The dog is "deeply adored" by Kate, William and their three children, according to Kinsey,

Orla is also related to Ella, who is James’s own spaniel. The 37-year-old recently released a memoir titled, 'Meet Ella: The Dog Who Saved My Life'.

Kinsey spoke on the excitement the three royal children would feel if Orla were to welcome puppies.

She said: "I'm obviously a dog person, I have four [and] they're all sleeping around me right now but for little kids, what an exciting adventure and kind of, the coolest thing ever to see."
