What We Do In The Shadows chronicles the undead escapades of vampires Nandor, Colin Robinson, Nadja, and Laszlo in their Staten Island abode.

Cared for by Nandor's devoted familiar Guillermo, they embark on ventures like Nadja's bar, stir up local mischief, and search for 'true' love beyond the grave.

Guillermo grapples with his allegiance to Nandor and his vampire aspirations, harbouring a secret lineage tied to the legendary vampire slayer Van Helsing.

Fans can revisit the series on BBC iPlayer, where all seasons are available for streaming. Newcomers to the show should note that critics have hailed it as unmissable, with a 96% approval score on Rotten Tomatoes, reports the Mirror.

Claudia Puig from USA Today praised the show, saying: "If Twilight made you queasy and Dark Shadows felt like a missed opportunity, this pitch-perfect genre spoof is worth relishing."

JR Jones of the Chicago Reader confessed: "I'm so sick of vampires I'd have pounded a stake into my own heart not to have to watch this, but it turns out to be a pitch-perfect spoof of MTV's The Real World and a sly satire on millennial slackerdom."

However, fans may be disheartened to learn that the series is drawing to a close, with its final season set to air on FX in the US on October 21 before transitioning to the BBC.

They have a special 'Scream Every Episode' section featuring the eerie sitcom Ghosts, Alexandra Daddario in Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches, and Tim Key and Daisy May Cooper in the historical comedy The Witchfinder.
