Police storm Liam Payne's hotel in Argentina as cops hunt for employee details

Police have stormed the hotel in which Liam Payne tragically fell to his death, according to reports. The investigation is said to have progressed with officers now understood to be hunting for further information on employees of Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The 31-year-old singer died on October 16 after falling from a third floor balcony at the hotel with his passing sending shockwaves around the globe. Sources have claimed the Casa Sur "must provide" information about staff members as well as handing over more security footage to investigators, reports the Mirror.

It is believed the probe is looking into those on duty on the day of the tragedy and in the days prior. Police raided the hotel seeking documents within the hotel’s registration books, according to US Weekly.

They are also said to have taken information from the establishment's computers. Earlier it was reported that the late One Direction singer's bodyguard, Paul Higgins, had been with the officers at the establishment to review security footage.

Higgins was also seen interviewing several hotel employees to try to find out who allegedly supplied Liam with narcotics, as widely reported on mainstream media. According to respected news portal Infobae, forensic experts found traces of cocaine in the star's body, with an autopsy following his death said to have “determined the presence of the class-A drug”. ABC News also claimed "pink cocaine" was among those substances.

The drug contains a lethal mixture of drugs including MDMA, ketamine, methamphetamine, cocaine, benzodiazepine and crack. Former basketball star Lamar Odom said, due to the drugs he had taken, Liam could have been hearing voices.

Lamar described how when he used drugs himself he would hear voices. He told TMZ: "Drug can cause you to hallucinate and if he was in a hallucination state then who knows what happened." Lamar is a recovering addict who owns Odom Recovery Group.

Fans have set up a petition to introduce Liam's Law following his tragic passing. Over 75,000 people have so far signed the campaign. The petition aims to realise a proposition Liam suggested to give greater support to support young musicians. Liam had previously discussed his struggles with sobriety and shared details of how his mental health was fragile at times.

Kate Cassidy, Liam's girlfriend, also opened up on how the pair had planned to get married, with a potential date ready to have been set for next year. She shared a note on social media which revealed Liam wrote: "Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged & together forever 444." The number 444 is considered an angel number, with special significance.
