Amazon's latest Prime Sale still has plenty of deals on offer - including on some highly sought after kitchen gadgets.

One such appliance that has seen major discounts is the air fryer is the Ninja Speedi 10-in-1 Rapid Cooker, which can air fry, steam, grill, bake, roast and much more. Reduced by 49 percent, it can now be snagged for £129.99 by Amazon Prime members.

'Straightforward'

As a shopping writer and food enthusiast, I've had the opportunity to test numerous air fryers over time. The one that has seen the most use, Ninja's Speedi, is currently available at an all-time low price of £129.99 for Amazon's Prime Big Deals Day.

If you've ever found it challenging to balance cooking wholesome midweek family meals while working from home, like me, this is an absolute must-purchase before the event concludes at 11.59pm.

My initial encounter with an air fryer was with a Tefal Actifry, which helped me comprehend the buzz around this cooking method when it first became popular. This model, recently relaunched at a lower price point, is round and features a paddle that continually rotates during cooking, ensuring nothing sticks.

However, when I got the Ninja Speedi, it was just the right size after my first air fryer was too small and the next one too large. The tech firm for foodies, Ninja, naturally produces a myriad of air fryer variations, with their latest innovation being the Double Stack - a model that's compact in footprint but tall in stature, ideal for kitchens with limited side space.

Yet, for some reason, the Speedi often seems to be overlooked, at least in my view. The Ninja Speedi 10-in-1 Rapid Cooker not only incorporates the features of many other popular models from the brand, functioning as a steamer, grill, air fryer, roaster, dehydrator, saute pan and slow cooker, but it also introduces a new feature that lends the device its name, allowing you to whip up a full meal in roughly 15 minutes.

Amazon shoppers are raving over a "powerful" portable heater that they are using instead of turning on the full central heating system.

There's no denying that temperatures are dropping, bringing the annual dilemma of heating the home or saving energy. If you're trying to heat just one room, then a portable heater will come in handy.

On Amazon, one of the top buys is the Pro Breeze 2000W Mini Ceramic Fan Heater, and it's on offer for 44 percent less. Retailing at £44.99, this limited time deal has been reduced to £24.99 - saving shoppers £20 off the RRP.

The 2000W heater has been praised in reviews for its compact and energy-saving design that heats single rooms "quickly". It comes with three power settings, a fan-only mode and an adjustable thermostat that monitors the air temperature, turning it off when it has reached the desired temperature.

Its "lightweight" design means that it is easy to transport from room to room, which means you don't have to heat unoccupied rooms. There's also a couple of safety features such as an overheat protection and an anti-tip-over switch.

With thousands of glowing reviews and a 4.4 rating on Amazon, this heater might be small, yet many users have said that it "packs a punch" and also "works faster than central heating."

One glowing review read: "Great little heater that really packs a punch. Takes the edge off a cold room very quickly. Light and compact which is great for my wife who is disabled."

A second five-star review read: "Powerful little thing! It’s small but mighty. Good price, takes up virtually no room, easily moved."

Essentially, it's a kitchen gadget designed for those who lack the time or desire to frequently use such devices. We all know the scenario - whether you're managing children or rushing home from work, preparing meals during the week always seems like a chore.

The most surprising aspect of my initial use of the Speedi was my ability to create a dish of chicken, pasta and vegetables in a creamy sauce without prior experience or constant monitoring.

The device required a few minutes to reach the appropriate temperature, but once achieved, it simultaneously steamed the pasta and vegetables at the bottom of my pot while air frying and baking the chicken, which I had generously seasoned with Nandos lemon and herb rub to satisfy my children.

A mere 18 minutes after initiating the process, I served the meal. It was not only straightforward, with no need to remember to flip things over or toss vegetables into the microwave after ten minutes, but every component was flawlessly cooked.

The pasta retained the perfect level of firmness, while the chicken was delightfully crispy yet noticeably juicier than when I bake it in the oven. Both children devoured their meals, and I was thrilled that the cooking pot and trivet could be placed directly into the dishwasher once cooled.

It even comes in a limited edition copper colour.

If you happen to miss it in the sale, Ninja is offering it directly for £169 in its autumn sale which, although a tad pricier, is absolutely worth the investment and certainly offers better value than Lakeland where it's still retailing at the full £229 price.
