Former Strictly Come Dancing star Ola Jordan recently gave her insights into this year's competition, recalling her own experience dancing with JLS's JB Gill.

The professional dancer, who graced the Strictly dance floor from 2006 until 2015, previously partnered with the boy band singer for the series' Christmas special a decade ago in 2012.

At the time, the duo's performance wowed the crowd and ultimately brought home the festive trophy with an exceptional score of 39, courtesy of high marks from the judges.

This time around, JB is taking part in the latest series alongside partner Amy Dowden as they plan to take on a Jive to Outkast's hit "Hey Ya! " on Saturday night.

Ola previously took to the dance floor with the JLS singer for the Christmas edition of the series in 2012

Ola noted a little-known fact about JB's dance history, revealing that he has previous jive experience from the Christmas show.

Speaking with Mecca Bingo ahead of Saturday's live event, the 42 year old dancer said, "I'm looking forward to seeing JB and Amy. It's funny because they haven't mentioned that JB actually did a Strictly Christmas special, so he has already done a Jive."

The star went on to add, "He did it with me back in 2012 and he was very good when I was teaching him, so I'm looking forward to seeing what he does in his Jive this weekend."

She went on: "Not just JB though, I'm looking forward to all of the dances. The thing is, everyone has different dances and ideas so it's nice to see what they come up with every week.! ", reports Birmingham Live.

Discussing her anticipation for the other dancers, she added: "For example, Montell and Johannes have done three ballroom dances which I think is unfair because she is very good.

"I want to see her do a Latin or a rhythmical dance and see how good she is going to be because at the moment we're not really seeing what she's capable of."

Ola further commented: "So, I'm looking forward to seeing Montell, but she's got Couple's Choice which isn't really a Latin dance, so we'll see what that's going to be like. I'm still looking forward to her doing a rhythmical dance like Samba, Salsa, or Cha-Cha, it's very different to a ballroom so that might be different for her".

Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One
