Super Mario Run Celebrates Mario & Luigi: Brothership In New Crossover Event
All aboard!
by Jim Norman · Nintendo LifeRemember Super Mario Run? Yeah, we had forgotten it too. But Nintendo hadn't! The Big N has injected a new lease of life into the mobile runner this year with several crossover updates covering Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Princess Peach: Showtime! and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD. Today, another event has arrived. Any guesses what it could be in aid of?
If the headline or giant image above hasn't already given it away, Mario & Luigi: Brothership is the latest Nintendo title to sail into the mobile app, with a brand-new event available from today until 19th December.
Clearing missions in this event will move you a step closer to nabbing three in-game Brothership statues (Mario and Connie, Luigi and Snoutlet or the Bros. together). Here's a swift look at the missions page and the rewards from the Japanese Nintendo website:

The Nintendo site specifies that some mission courses are only accessible to those who have purchased them, but linking your Nintendo account will let you access a bunch for free.

Love to see Mario Run still getting such events, too bad I don't have time to play it myself (have barely played the base game if I recall correctly)!

Ok I found a problem I hope Nintendo fixes. On iPhone I have not found a way to get headphone toad to use Nintendo music app as the music player.

Huh, got distracted by Pokemon card game, i used to play Mario Run everyday, mainly just for the My Nintendo coins
Huh. There’s a new type of mission, where the game is counting the coins collected over all level runs during the event.
@SwitchplayerJohn Too much hassle to retrofit SMR, they’re not going to do that.

@PtM I found a workaround but it kinda sucks, you can delete all other music players on iPhone and it works kinda.

I’m shocked this game is getting support past Mario Kart Tour (not saying it’s better, I just assumed it was more popular). I used to play this game a lot, and went back for the princess peach showtime and TTYD events, but might pass on this one

Now they just need to 'Pocket Camp' it and make it the offline game it should have been years ago.
@NFrealinkling These events do not require a patch, only in-app downloads.

@PtM true, but it’s still more than MK tour is getting
Wow, Super Mario Run... Forgot this existed. Maybe I will boot it up. Sure it has an update
That's nice and all but why aren't they adding new levels? After beating the base game you can play the same levels but with different colored coins?? And there remix 10 and toad Rally which take place in the same base levels which makes the remix mode really boring after a bit, even the star world has really annoying requirements which are basically: beat the older levels but Hard
