Hero MotoCorp has finally unveiled the Xtreme 250R at the EICMA 2024. The brand has been teasing the new streetfighter motorcycle for the last few days but now it has been presented to the world at the prestigious Milan Motorcycle Show in Italy. Based on the Xtunt 2.5R concept, which debuted at EICMA 2023, the all-new Hero Xtreme 250R will be Hero’s first motorcycle in the 250cc segment.
To begin with the design, the all-new Hero Xtreme 250R looks like a proper street naked motorcycle with the angular LED headlamp with LED DRL. The fuel tank is quite beefy as you can see in the images. The motorcycle comes with sharp cuts and even the tank extensions are cleanly integrated in sync with the overall angular theme. A special mention goes to the rear registration plate which is mounted on the swing arm, identical to the big European motorcycles.
Underpinning a steel-trellis frame, the Xtreme 250R features 43mm USD front suspension and mono-shock with pre-load adjustment at the rear. Riding on 17-inch wheels with broader tyres, it boasts of disc brakes at front as well as rear along with a switchable ABS.

The Xtreme 250R is powered by an all-new 250cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine which is carved out of the existing 210cc engine of the Karizma XMR. The company increased the length of the stroke by 7mm to achieve the higher displacement. The head is kept the same while the crank case for the 250cc engine is different from the 210cc motor. This engine churns out 30bhp at 9250rpm and 25Nm at 7250rpm while paired with a 6-speed transmission.
Hero Xtreme 250R carries a digital instrument console with a lap timer as standard. It will be launched in the Indian market in the first half of the next year while first public appearance will be at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in January in New Delhi. The Xtreme 250R will directly challenge KTM 250 Duke and Husqvarna Vitpilen 250.
