EastEnders fans 'work out' who really killed Harry's girlfriend after dark clue

by · NottinghamshireLive

EastEnders viewers have been left speculating that Teddy Mitchell may not be responsible for the disappearance of his son Harry's girlfriend, Shireen. This week, Jack Branning revealed to his daughter Penny about Harry's potentially dark past, including accusations that he killed his ex-girlfriend following an argument.

However, fans are now suspecting that another member of the Mitchell family could be the real culprit. The Mitchells' recent move to Walford has been shrouded in mystery, with Teddy often hinting at the need for a fresh start due to a dark event in their past.

Initially, viewers suspected Teddy might be the one who harmed Shireen, but recent developments have led them to believe that Harry's mother Nicola, who is soon to arrive in Albert Square, could be the actual perpetrator.

Speculation is rife among viewers of the popular soap, with one fan taking to social media to suggest: "Harry's mother killed his girlfriend and that is why they ran, that's why they have been on edge."

Another chimed in with their theory: "Harry's mother did it I say," while a third concurred: "I'm thinking it might be to do with Nicola.", reports the Mirror.

Some are even suspecting Harry might be protecting his younger brother Barney, which could lead to an intriguing plot twist involving Nicola coming to the Square. A viewer speculated: "Could this be what brings Nicola (Teddy's ex wife) to Walford? Could Harry be covering for Barney maybe? " with another adding: "Defo barney who hurt Harry's mrs."

The character of Nicola will be portrayed by Laura Doddington, known for her roles in Doctors, Holby City, Casualty, The Bill, and The Midwich Cuckoos.

Laura has also featured in various Doctor Who spin-offs and podcasts. She's set to make her entrance to Walford 15 years after her last stint on the show in 2009, following a guest appearance.
