Beat The Chasers' Anne Hegerty replaced on show amid health problem

The episode airing on our screens this Friday, 1 November is a repeat, showcasing Issa's talents after Anne was unable to participate in filming.
Not new to the world of quizzing, Issa jetted in from Australia, where he's renowned as a Chase master. Boasting eight victories at the Aussie Quizzing Championships between 2011 and 2021, along with appearances on The Rich List and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
, his knowledge and quiz prowess are well-documented by OK!
He joined other familiar faces on the show - Mark 'The Beast' Labbett, Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan, Paul 'The Sinnerman' Sinha, Darragh 'The Menace' Ennis, and Shaun 'The Dark Destroyer' Wallace. On social media, Shaun extended a warm welcome: "The Super Nerd was just super! Issa it was an absolute pleasure to work with you again. I hope that will happen sooner rather than later."
Issa responded with equal warmth: "So awesome sitting alongside you good sir! Your knowledge is sensational and you made me feel right at home. Looking forward to next time," he commented, reports the Mirror.
Anne Hegerty, known as 'The Governess' on The Chase, had to pause filming due to contracting Covid-19, as she announced on Twitter, now referred to as X. Her message informed followers: "Unfortunately I've contracted Covid-19 so won't be filming this series of #BeatTheChasers."
She also mentioned that Issa would take over in her stead.
Hegerty didn't leave fans waiting too long for an update, happily announcing her recovery not long after with a picture of a negative lateral flow test and the caption: "#thechase #beatthechasers #lurgyfree #butstillselfisolating."
Becoming an integral part of The Chase since joining in 2010, Anne has been a familiar face to audiences since the show's inception in June 2009, which featured original Chasers Mark Labbett and Shaun Wallace. Beat The Chasers, the well-received spin-off, debuted in April 2020 and has quickly moved forward with its series count.
