Lidl's new Freeway Cola truck to visit Nottingham this Christmas
by Laycie Beck · NottinghamshireLiveShoppers are in for a treat this Christmas as Lidl's Freeway Cola truck tours the UK to spread festive cheer. The truck will be stopping at nine locations across the nation, including at Sneinton Market Square on Thursday, November 21 from midday to 6pm.
This is the first time that the supermarket has toured the truck, and it is similar to the famous Coca-Cola Truck. As part of the Freeway on the Freeway event, present boxes made up of items from the middle aisle of Lidl will be available to the first 250 customers on the day, and one in ten of these boxes will contain a Golden Ticket.
Customers who find one of these special tickets will be able to use it to get £100 towards their festive food shop at the supermarket. There will also be festive chutneys, non-alcoholic mulled wines and snowmallows for visitors to sample.
Visitors are also urged to check their Lidl Plus app as there are some extra goodies available through the Secret Boxes activation. In addition to Nottingham, the Freeway truck will also be stopping in Hull, Harrogate, Dundee, Wolverhampton, Wrexham, Luton, Bournemouth and Southampton.
