Cristiano Ronaldo's partner Georgina Rodriguez has opened up about her recent health scare. The 30-year-old model expressed her gratitude to the healthcare professionals following a four-day hospital stay for pneumonia, before being allowed to go home.

Her health issues arose shortly after she and the football superstar were spotted on a lavish getaway in Saint-Tropez, sparking whispers of a secret wedding. On Instagram, the Argentine-born star shared: "Finally back home! I spent 4 days at the hospital with pneumonia, I'm better now but still recovering at home with my family.

"I have to say a big THANK YOU to all the staff members, doctors, nurses and everyone at the hospital... They took care of me so wonderfully and I'm very grateful for that. Thank you all for such a great stay." She also confirmed her location in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, posting a photo from the Saudi German Hospital, showcasing her IV drip.

The hospital prides itself on treating patients "like family". While Georgina was recuperating in what is considered Dubai's top hospital, her alleged spouse Cristiano played two matches for his team, Al-Nassr.

The former Manchester United star recently showcased his enduring talent, scoring in a tense 2-1 victory for his Saudi Pro League team over Al-Shabab just last week. He then jetted off to Dubai for a clash with Iranian side Esteghlal in the AFC Champions League, where he played the entire match, culminating in a 1-0 win for his team, reports the Mirror.

Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez, who have been together since 2016 and share two children, were spotted wearing what appeared to be wedding rings during a yacht outing on their opulent holiday. This sighting, along with Ronaldo referring to Georgina as his 'wife' during a playful Mr. and Mrs. game on his new YouTube channel, has sparked rumours of marriage.

Despite the speculation, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has not confirmed any nuptials nor addressed the gossip publicly. The couple's romance began when Georgina was working at a Gucci store in Madrid and encountered the football legend.

In an Elle magazine interview, Georgina reminisced about their first meeting, saying: "The first meeting with Ronaldo was at Gucci where I worked as a sales assistant. Days later we saw each other again at another brand's event. It was then we could talk in a relaxed atmosphere, outside of my work environment. It was love at first sight for both."

Georgina Rodriguez accompanied Cristiano Ronaldo to Saudi Arabia after he decided to end his time in European football, signing a high-profile contract with Al-Nassr, marking the Saudi Pro League's most significant signing. Ronaldo has previously expressed his desire to have seven children, reflecting his iconic shirt number.

In an interview back in July 2017, when he had three children and had been with Georgina for about a year, he is quoted by the Portuguese media as saying: "My eldest Cristianinho is very happy. He's doing well and says he wants more brothers and sisters. He wants seven, the magic number, and I think that's good."
